I will soon send this email to mike@michaelmoore.com and I will post a response if and when I get one. This is my first attempt at this, but I feel like it may be worth the effort.

I have a problem with the standard MMO game, so I thought I would share it with you. I am mostly thinking of WoW, the most popular game. I will share the way I would prefer things changed. This does not really apply to Free Realms, or Guild Wars, so let me know if you want to meet up on there.

If I'm playing an online multi-player game, I want to play with my friends. This does not work with the current setup for many reasons. Firstly, your characters are stuck on specific servers. Second, even if you are on the same server, if you want to really play together, you must be on the same faction, and you should be around the same level, and it may even be advisable to be the same race and class, to have similar quests. This is not a common thing, and if you force it, it doesn't always work, as you start to separate over time.

As far as the meeting random people, again, you should get a close match with people for them to join you, and the world is so large, you likely will be playing solo. I don't want to pay a monthly fee for a solo experience. If you are the type of person who likes to power game, grinding and farming constantly, and tries to get to the top, then these games could be for you. I got bored with the repetitive, lonely, and long missions. Frustration set in. I wouldn't say it was a waste, but it would have been foolish to continue.

As I said, Free Realms fixes a lot of these issues. You can choose your server. There's no monthly fee. You can instantly change jobs. It's not a game that makes you feel penalized for not being at some high level. It's just a fun and casual game. It may be geared to a younger audience, but I appreciate a lot of what it does right. Then again, I don't know anyone who plays, and everyone seems to play WoW...

Now that I have the Sims 3, I was thinking about adding friends into the game. This would be easy to do if my friends also have the game, and I could find their creations when we link up at the community website. Unfortunately, I think not many people have the game, or will see this entry. I may have to do some inquiries, or just create them myself.

I may get in touch with you to help me create you as a Sim!

I am also going to get the Spore expansion soon, so in anticipation of playing more Spore, I'd like to expand my subscriptions there, too. Since Spore has been around longer, and has more stuff to create, I would put a higher priority toward finding friends there. Please, share any helpful information with me.

I saw Stephen Lynch at the Egg in Albany on Saturday, and I got to hear most of his new songs for the first time, and get his new album! I also shaved my legs before meeting up with Cora before we went to the show, which ended up with me getting dressed up as you see in the picture. Most of the time, I was covered in a coat, so I wouldn't scare the public too much. His first song was a new one and it mentioned trannies! I yelled out that he still owed me $20 after that verse... Fun times.

I am looking forward to watching the "Watchmen" this weekend. I would prefer to see it with friends, rather than by myself. If this sounds like something you want to do with me, get in touch with me, and we'll work out the details.

Details: Sunday, Spectrum 8, Albany?

Update: I've got the "It's a Wonderful Life" DVD. "Into The Wild" DVD was purchased and viewed, was a good true-story, and gives me a lot to think about as I plan my own adventure. There's still a lot for me to do.

I'm feeling like George Bailey did in the film, over most of this past year, and this week has been a particularly rough one. I feel like giving up on everyone, as they have given up on me. I'm not jumping off a bridge or anything, but I'll probably end up a hermit in the woods of Canada before long, and all the better for everyone else. This is the last entry that you'll see, and I won't be bothering anyone in the future, so you can safely erase my memory now. Good bye, and good luck! Peace.

Meme: "Everyone has things they blog about. Everyone has things they don't blog about. Challenge me out of my comfort zone by telling me something I don't blog about, but you'd like to hear about, and I'll write a post about it. Ask for anything: latest movie watched, last book read, political leanings, thoughts on yaoi, favorite type of underwear, graphic techniques, etc. Re-post in your own journal if you are so inclined."

Bonus: I will friend anyone who replies to this, as the reply will probably be friends-only. I'm looking to re-grow my friends list with those who want to hear what I have to say! My logic is, if I only read my friends list (which I don't only do, but usually do) then I'll comment on those journals more often. You can always opt-out of the bonus, if you're happy with how things have been. I will try and remain non-combative. Peace.

It seems like a dumb question, but it's one I've pondered from time to time, and occasionally worried about a lot: Am I anyone's favorite person? Another way of looking at it is: Am I anyone's best friend? Despite my desires, for almost my entire life, I think the answer is, probably no. Except for the few times when I'm in love with someone, and then it seems like it's possible. Maybe forlorn was a good name to choose, and I even chose it back when I was in love. I guess it's all my fault.

So, what do you think? Am I one of your favorite persons? Do you have a best friend? Does it really mater?
