"I can not be deceived." Many people allow themselves to be deceived from reality, by others or by their own minds. They want to blame others when they are wrong, but it was themselves who allowed the deception to occur. Reality is right here, in every moment, and only you are to blame when you look elsewhere for the truth. It's up to you to find your own truth. Nobody can give it to you. "Self is an illusion." Our own identity is a fabrication of our mind. Philosophers had theories about something like a miniature person in our brain who senses the world, causes our thoughts, and even is our soul. This "ghost in the machine" has no basis in reality, it's a illusion, but a popular one. Most of us have been told this since we were old enough to understand. There's no excuse for you choosing to live in your fantasies. Tags: books, buddhism, philosophy Mood: weird
