Hey dudes.
The weekend was spent creating small rituals for myself. I seem to have a lot of time and so creating simple routines is helping to keep me from losing my mind with boredom. Getting up. Doing burpees. Making instant coffee. Shaving. It's not much, but I'm finding I need to go into my free time with a plan. Elizabeth suggested that I start taking pictures again so I've been doing that, too.
Burpees have been toning me up nicely. The effect is already noticeable. I still, and probably always will, eat too much though so I will just be a muscley guy with a big gut. That's how my dad's always been anyway. Planet Fitness is opening at the mall, though, and Kat was telling me about the half hour workout circuit they have. That sounds like a fantastic idea. It's also only about $10/month so I will try to sign up to do that.
Still playing a variety of games, and have a few more that are in the back of my head that I want to revisit. Still tooling around with Modern Warfare 2. My Pokemon-obsessive qualities are making me unlock everything on a weapon before moving on to another one. I finally got all the unlocks for the M4A1 and I've moved on to the MP5. Suddenly I'm actually able to kill dudes by hip firing and take them down before they kill me.
Cruising along in Borderlands. I'm happy that it actually has an in-game respeccing option. I'm not sure I understand the weapon stats well enough to figure out what is best to equip my dude with but going by highest sell price = best weapon has worked for me. I have also started a few characters to play with online. Fun. Finally, a comedic robot that I actually think is cute. The game's juvenile humor makes me chuckle pretty often too. I never get sick of "9 Toes (also he has 3 balls)"
Finally finished watching the first season of Masters of Horror. Some good, bad, and ugly all around. Highlights: Deer Woman, Sick Girl (one of my favorites), and Pick Me Up. I've already watched about half of season 2 and there's some good ones there. Also found out there's a new series called Masters of Science Fiction which has a similar concept. Need to check that out also.
Oh, and Dr. Who - I'm blazing through season 3 and I see now what I have been missing. Fun. I will never get enough of Daleks.
