Some friends of mine are starting a blog that I have wanted to exist for a couple of years now. It's called the MANual of Style. It's men's fashion advice from the ground up. I need this.

Hey dudes.

The weekend was spent creating small rituals for myself. I seem to have a lot of time and so creating simple routines is helping to keep me from losing my mind with boredom. Getting up. Doing burpees. Making instant coffee. Shaving. It's not much, but I'm finding I need to go into my free time with a plan. Elizabeth suggested that I start taking pictures again so I've been doing that, too.

Burpees have been toning me up nicely. The effect is already noticeable. I still, and probably always will, eat too much though so I will just be a muscley guy with a big gut. That's how my dad's always been anyway. Planet Fitness is opening at the mall, though, and Kat was telling me about the half hour workout circuit they have. That sounds like a fantastic idea. It's also only about $10/month so I will try to sign up to do that.

Still playing a variety of games, and have a few more that are in the back of my head that I want to revisit. Still tooling around with Modern Warfare 2. My Pokemon-obsessive qualities are making me unlock everything on a weapon before moving on to another one. I finally got all the unlocks for the M4A1 and I've moved on to the MP5. Suddenly I'm actually able to kill dudes by hip firing and take them down before they kill me.

Cruising along in Borderlands. I'm happy that it actually has an in-game respeccing option. I'm not sure I understand the weapon stats well enough to figure out what is best to equip my dude with but going by highest sell price = best weapon has worked for me. I have also started a few characters to play with online. Fun. Finally, a comedic robot that I actually think is cute. The game's juvenile humor makes me chuckle pretty often too. I never get sick of "9 Toes (also he has 3 balls)"

Finally finished watching the first season of Masters of Horror. Some good, bad, and ugly all around. Highlights: Deer Woman, Sick Girl (one of my favorites), and Pick Me Up. I've already watched about half of season 2 and there's some good ones there. Also found out there's a new series called Masters of Science Fiction which has a similar concept. Need to check that out also.

Oh, and Dr. Who - I'm blazing through season 3 and I see now what I have been missing. Fun. I will never get enough of Daleks.

Modern Warfare 2 - Eating up my time now that I have people to play multiplayer with, and playing the game using actual teamwork and communication is a lot of fun. Double Shotgun Dude and Witchblades are still annoying but we'll see what the next gameplay patch brings.

Evil Genius - Picked this up for a buck fitty on Steam. It's a Dungeon Keeper-esque game where you play an evil mastermind plotting global domination. Occasionally special agents come to your base adn you have to defeat them using henchmen and traps. Entertaining, but it's no Dungeon Keeper.

I may do a video about this soon, but I wanted to leave my ideas here, and shape them. This is really my second transition. My first started when I was a young child. That's when I started to learn how I was supposed to be as a male, regardless of my own desires. The second started when I became an adult. That's when I started to become myself. My recent gender transition is just a continuation of that, rather than something new. It's like the first one in some ways, but I think the results will be much better.

I had a spider dream last night. I don't know what they mean or where they come from, but every once in awhile I have a dream where I'm covered with spiders. Last night it was daddy-longlegs. They had baby daddy-longlegs crawling all over them. At first I was freaked out but I got over it and it just tickled. Mostly I ended up being concerned about accidentally swallowing them.

I have dreams like this sometimes. They're not nightmares. They're comforting. I like spiders.

When I was in college I was reading up spirit animals and that sort of business and read that if you're looking for one it might come to you in a dream. That night I dreamed that I was sitting in my room and I was covered with spiders and they had built webs all over me and my bedroom. I wasn't afraid or upset. I was calm. Erin came into the room and saw me like this and started to panic and I tried to reassure her that everything was ok. Ever since then dreams where I am covered in spiders come up every now and then. I always wake up feeling better.
